Family History
Family Histories give us a means of connecting with our ancestors. Any researcher will tell you that as they dig for their roots they get to know their ancestors on a personal basis and may even find themselves talking to them. On these pages we offer various family histories. Some are out of print documents we have acquired and reprinted just as written by the original researcher. Others are from our own files and contain the information we have accumulated during our research for our own families. We include our documentation sources so that you may verify our information for yourself. As always, researching is an ongoing adventure and we are always happy to exchange our "misinformation" with others. Any information you are willing to provide on your family will be documented into our databases, giving you full credit for your research. Our main interest is in preserving family histories of all families, West Virginians or otherwise. One of our dearest members is fond of saying, “There are only two types of people in the world. Those from West Virginia and those who wish they were!”
